UK Knows Too Little About Digital TV Switchover
A survey by the price comparison website uSwitch.com has revealed that the British public does not know enough about the forthcoming digital TV switchover. From October this year TV regions across the country will have their analogue TV signal turned off and it will be replaced by a digital TV signal.
Digital TV Switchover Will Render VCRs Useless
The majority of VCRs and DVD recorders will be rendered useless following the forthcoming digital TV switchover.

Analogue TV Signal Turned Off in Whitehaven
The town of Whitehaven in Cumbria as become the first to have its analogue TV signal turned off as the UK prepares for the digital TV switchover. The BBC Two signal was switched off on October 17 with the remaining four terrestial all following suit early yesterday morning. The move means that the 25,000 residents in Whitehaven now need to have access to digital TV in order to keep viewing their favourite shows.
