The Medicinal Use Of KY Jelly And Aloe Vera: No Clear Picture Has Yet Been Formed
Originally, Aloe Vera was found to be growing only in the Dark Continent, but all that has changed mainly because of the ingenuity of man who has found alternative and equally effective means of growing the Aloe Vera plant wherever the climate is warm enough and thus, it is now also found to be growing in some of the warmer parts of the United States despite it being a tropical plant. However, as far as the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera goes, at present there is little official recognition with regard to using Aloe Vera even though it has certainly been promoted officially.
Until quite recently, the main use of Aloe Vera was restricted only to applying it to treat sunburns as well as in the healing of wounds and also cuts. These benefits however did lead to more studies on the benefits of using Aloe Vera for other application than the known ones, and as technology became more advanced and our experience and knowledge with regard to Aloe Vera expanded, other uses were also found though they still did not qualify as being worthy of being termed medicinal in nature.
Burns And Bruises
Still, Aloe Verde is widely used in the US and the main the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera seem to be in treating burns as well as bruises, though it is also used extensively for cosmetic applications as well. A little known fact regarding the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera is that Aloe Vera is considered a healthy drink and though as yet there is little official endorsement for them from the medical establishment, with further research into the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera, it may soon be found that there are indeed many health benefits to be gained.
The implications of studies conducted into the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera will have far reaching consequences and in this regard the FDA has even given its approval for development work to be conducted whose main aim is to find ways and means with which to use Aloe Vera for treating AIDS as well as cancer. There are thus many unanswered questions that need to be resolved regarding the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera and with much research being conducted on the topic, the day will not be far away when we will have a definite answer to the question.
Nevertheless, there have been many virtues attributed to the use of Aloe Vera even from the times of ancient civilizations including those in Persia, Middle East and Egypt and even to the Italian and Greek civilizations and furthermore the use of Aloe Vera has been known to the Africans as well as Indians for many centuries. In fact, one can safely assume that the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera has being closely studied by many people engaged in medicine even including Dioscorides, the Greek physician who may have been one of the first to look into this aspect.
However, the form in which KY Jelly and Aloe Vera are used today is a lot different to what it was in the early days and many of the medicinal use of KY Jelly and Aloe Vera in those days are different to what we now use them for. Thus, from the very earliest days when Aloe Vera was used in India and then onto the Sumerians, the way that Aloe Vera is used today is radically different and in fact the exact medicinal use has yet to be fully established.
